Started in 1995,Kushiro Future Forum 22is a
volunteer group for the public to express their views
regarding current topics in the east  Hokkaido area in
Japan.  

In 2006, this group created a web-site calledGlobal
Community Forum 22,which helps Japanese people
to become  accustomed to interacting in English with their
counterparts around the  world.  It is also used to help
deepen mutual understanding between people from
different cultures and backgrounds.  

In doing so, GCF22 is helping to work toward a more
peaceful and harmonious global community in the 22nd
century.
