Started in 1995, Kushiro Future Forum 22is a volunteer group for the public to expresstheir views regarding current topics in theeast Hokkaido area in Japan. In 2006, this group created a web-site calledGlobal Community Forum 22, which helps Japanesepeople to become accustomed to interacting inEnglish with their counterparts around the world. It is also used to help deepen mutualunderstanding between people from differentcultures and backgrounds. In doing so, GCF22 is helping to work toward amore peaceful and harmonious global community inthe 22nd century. |
